Cars are like Shoes.
It occurred to me the other day while indulging in my daily change of shoes-from riding boots, to mucking- out boots that we can draw a remarkable analogy between footwear and cars. No one would wear gum-boots out to a dinner, but would wear them without question when they go out to slop around the shooting field, so why is it that people seek saloon-car perfection from a 4*4 s. u. v. In the same way that you would not hop on the train in a pair of running spikes, you shouldn’t be surprised when that second- hand exec saloon you buy is a crap for commuting
